What or who inspired you to start painting?
The Great Masters and the Impressionists have always inspired me, but my daily inspiration comes from nature and human lives and culture. I began painting after my professional careers when I could immerse myself in my personal renaissance.
If you could pair a song with your style of painting what might it be?
Song: Beethoven’s Ode to Joy symphony comes to mind, but especially anything Mozart. It’s about the alpha waves and creative flow.
What is your favorite color right now?
Prussian blue is the color!
In all your travels, what spot was the most spiritual to visit?
French monasteries and Japanese temples are the most spiritual spots for me. In a more natural setting, Motopos Hills in Zimbabwe.
What advice would you offer a 25 your old Sandy DeLopez if you saw her today?
Advice: live your life with love and not with fear. Do what you love. The opposite of love is not hate, it is fear. Good advice for any age!
