Big Bend Cares has been serving the needs of the HIV community in North Florida since 1987. We are a private, non profit organization dedicated to the treatment, care and continual wellness of people infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS. Our medical facility, Care Point Health and Wellness, offers medical, dental, mental health, HIV testing, and pharmacy services to all patients, regardless of their financial situation, insurance status or ability to pay.
Education and Prevention of HIV/AIDS has been a major function of Big Bend Cares since its founding in 1987. We provide prevention, education, and testing at Care Point Health & Wellness, in the community, and through the distribution of free at-home HIV self-test kits.
Big Bend Cares provides FREE and confidential rapid testing for HIV and Syphilis. Testing is available by appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 5pm at Care Point Health and Wellness Center (2200 South Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301).
Free, fast, and discreet self-test kits for HIV are now available nationwide. Visit the Take Me Home program at takemehome.org to order test kits and learn about crisis lines available for support.
